Patricia de Guzman

Vocational Educational Consultant | Design Coach

Patricia de Guzman is a creative and an educator with over 12 years of experience spanning design, education, and institutional development. Her practice focuses on building meaningful strategies for jewellery brands, education providers, and creative entrepreneurs, bridging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewellery and Metals and a Master of Education (Interdisciplinary Studies) from the University of Calgary, Patricia has worked internationally as a creative lead, training manager, and academic developer. Most recently serving as Manager at Dubai Design Academy, where she was a part of the founding team to start the government-led initiative. There, she led programme design, quality assurance, curriculum approval, and UK-based accreditation processes and played a central role in positioning the academy as a regional leader in jewellery education in the GCC.

Patricia has consulted on curriculum strategy, vocational programme design, staff training, and learner pathways for both private academies and public institutions. She advises on how to align creative education with cultural contexts and the emerging needs of students and markets. Her skills also include business development, brand positioning, and creative direction for jewellery startups.

Her approach is grounded in collaborative creativity, sustainability, and inclusive learning. She has judged national competitions like EmiratesSkills, served on advisory boards for higher education institutions, and delivered workshops, talks, and mentoring for a wide range of global companies such as AdidasMENA and De Beers.
